OSF HealthCare has completed construction on a state-the-art transportation center adjacent to the OSF Center for Health – Streator. It is located on OSF-owned property directly across the street from the OSF Center for Health freestanding Emergency Center.
The transportation center is 6,600 SF, providing inside storage protection for the OSF King Care-A-Van, up to four ambulances from Advanced Medical Transport (AMT), as well as the potential for two additional vehicles. The transportation center connects to the remaining office building which a portion was remodeled to provide sleep quarters for the EMS providers.
The completion of the transportation center demonstrates the commitment of OSF HealthCare to serving the community.
The project was funded through a collaboration of generous donors from Streator and Ottawa with long-standing commitments to supporting health care in their communities.
